Saurabh Pandey's dream comes true in Sony TVs Suryaputra Karn

Saurabh Pandey who essays the role of Lord Krishna in Sony TVs Suryaputra Karn (Swastik Productions) was longing to be part of an action sequence on the show.  And his double role entry in the show, as the negative character of Paundrak Vasudev has in fact helped him fulfil his aspiration.  Why do we say so?                                             An upcoming action sequence will see Paundrak getting into a fight with Karna (Gautam Rode). And this in fact was an exciting prospect for the off-screen friends to show some rivalry on screen.  Saurabh who shares a great rapport with Rode told us, "We carefully work our moves to avoid injuries. He is like an elder brother who treats me like his own younger sibling. He is a superb actor to work with and we have a great understanding that helps us in our scenes." Describing more about the unexpected action sequence that has come his way, Saurabh averred, ''As my character Paundrak Vasudev is a mad man who is like a wannabe God, he gets into a fight with Karna when he talks bad about Lord Krishna, the other character that I play.  Fighting on camera with a real friend is great fun, and we ended up laughing." We hear that Saurabh shot for nearly eight-nine hours to get this action sequence perfect.   Saurabh has so far gotten a good response from the audience for his double role in the show, that of Vasudev and Krishna. The actor laughingly added, "After all, at the end Krishna himself will end Paundrak's character. Having said this, it's a crazy experience to act against your own character." When asked how his girl friend Zara Barring reacts to his negative persona on screen, he quipped, ''My girlfriend Zara Barring finds my role of Paundrak Vasudev as very creepy and funny at times. But I guess it's the comment I look out for, which is a reward to my hard work. After all we do it for our viewers.'' Way to go, Saurabh!!
