Shahrukh Sadri and Shakti Singh in Crime Patrol

Crime Patrol on Sony Entertainment Television is one of the highest rated shows in television today. The show has managed to maintain good numbers even at a time when majority of shows on GECs are bearing the onslaught of IPL season 5. The upcoming episode of the series will revolve around Dalits and the injustice faced by them. To do justice to the plot, makers (Optimystix) have brought in actors Shahrukh Sadri and Shakti Singh. Shahrukh has shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Cheeni Kum, and Shakti is known for his role Mansukhlal Virani in Balaji Telefilms’ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (Star Plus). The story will focus on a village where Dalits are not allowed to enter a temple. Shahrukh will be seen as a nasty pandit and Shakti will play a Dalit village head who will fight against injustice. Shakti remained unavailable for comment while Shahrukh confirmed the news.
