Shaily Priya Pandey Opens Up About Life After 'Kismat Ki Lakiro Se'

MUMBAI : Actress Shaily Priya Pandey, who essayed Shraddha in the show Kismat Ki Lakiro Se which recently went off air, shares on how things have been post the show, missing being on set and her future aspirations.

Sharing her reaction when she learned about the show going off air, she tells, "Learning that the show was coming to an end was quite upsetting for us. Kismat Ki Lakiro Se had completed nearly 530 episodes, and after such a long journey, we naturally hoped for its continued success and growth. Our goal was to establish it among the top shows, and the audience responded positively, craving more of its high-intensity drama. However, over time, it became evident that the new storylines were straying too far from the show's original premise. The narrative began to deviate significantly, losing the essence of what made the show special. While viewers appreciated the drama, continuing with unrelated story arcs would have compromised the show's integrity. Ultimately, we agreed that ending the show was the right decision. Despite this, we were proud of the overall package we delivered, encompassing a wide range of dramas, from intense to subtle."

Shaily also shares that she misses being on set: "Of course, being associated with the show for such a long time makes you feel really upset and sad. The sets become like a second home, especially when you spend more than 12 to 13 hours, sometimes even 14 to 15 hours or more, particularly when we had telecast issues. Not being there for the shoot definitely leaves a void. I played such a beautiful role, and people still recognize me as my character, Shraddha."

Speaking about her future endeavors and kind of work she wants to do, she mentioned, "I actually wanted to take some time for myself, so I decided to give myself a full month of rest because it was what I needed the most. Now that I’m getting back on my feet, I’m auditioning for good roles. Let's see what comes my way and what suits me best. If it's a good opportunity, I will definitely take it."

"Currently, I have been shortlisted a few production houses that are really good and align with my creative standards. I won't mention them now, but I’m hopeful about what lies ahead. I want to choose roles that not only fulfill my creative standards but also resonate with the audience who know me and appreciate my work. I don’t want to disappoint them by not delivering the best version of myself, " she added.Actress Shaily Priya Pandey, who essayed Shraddha in the show Kismat Ki Lakiro Se which recently went off air, shares on how things have been post the show, missing being on set and her future aspirations.
