MUMBAI: It was only sometime back that we reported about actor Ashish Kaul being roped in for an episode of Shrimad Bhagvad, an upcoming show on Colors. He will play the character of Prahlad in the show.

We now have another name from showbiz who will play a pivotal role in the 52-episodic show with each story leading a question and explained by Radha and Krishna. The serial is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and will focus on Radha and Krishna unveiling the story post-Mahabharat.

Garima Jain, who was last seen in Shakti on Colors starring Rubina Dilaik and Vivian Dsena will play the role of Devi Shachi in Shrimad Bhagvad.

According to scriptures, Devi Shachi was the most beautiful fairy. She was a beauty with brains and because of her intelligence; she would be successful in whatever she did. The show will narrate her relationship with the Gods of Swarg lok.

When asked Garima for a confirmation, she smiled with glee and stated, “I play ‘Indrani’ in the show. This role is different and as we all know, doing a mythology show is always a challenge as the dialogues and actions have to do justice to the ancient storytelling. I am excited!”
