MUMBAI: Actress Shalini Kapoor Sagar recently celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and joy. While the festivities revolved around rituals and traditions, what made the occasion even more special for her was reuniting with her co-stars and industry friends.
One of the highlights of the celebration was her reunion with actress Helly Shah. The two share a special bond ever since working together in the popular TV serial Swaragini — Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, where Shalini played Annapurna Maheshwari and Helly essayed the role of Swara Bose Maheshwari. Their camaraderie was evident as they posed for pictures that caught everyone’s attention.
Speaking about Helly, Shalini exclusively told TellyChakkar, “Helly is dear to me and is always around whenever we celebrate any festival. She’s like family. We stand by each other and cherish the bond we share. I admire her humble nature — she is beautiful, hardworking, and grounded.”
Reflecting on Ganesh Chaturthi, Shalini expressed, “Hosting Bappa has been our tradition for years now, and with time, my devotion has only deepened. While the celebrations come once a year, Bappa’s blessings and presence are felt every day. I feel truly blessed to share such an emotional and spiritual bond with the almighty.”
She further added, “For me, Ganesh Chaturthi is also about togetherness — inviting friends, family, co-actors, and directors. We pray, sing hymns, enjoy home-made modaks, dance to festive music, and relive cherished memories. It’s a celebration of devotion, culture, and relationships.”
Apart from Helly Shah, several celebrities including Manu Malik, Vikas Grover, Surendra Pal, Amar Sharma, Jaideep Singh, Jaineeraj Rajpurohit, Shivani Gosain, Jignesh Joshi, Bharat Kamwani, Roshan Binder, Shweta Rastogi, Singer Manie Singh, Nitish Bharti, Director Kenny Chhabra, and Shyam Maheshwari attended her home for darshan.
On the professional front, Shalini Kapoor was last seen in Iss Ishq Ka Rabb Rakha and has previously worked in popular shows like Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, Qabool Hai, and Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. Off-screen, she enjoys a happy family life with her husband, actor Rohit Sagar, and their daughter Aadya.
