MUMBAI :One of the most unusual success stories in Indian television has been Shark Tank India. Shark Tank India is a business reality television program that is shown on Sony Entertainment Television in India. The program is an Indian franchise from the United States. It depicts business owners giving pitches to a group of sharks or investors, who determine whether to fund their enterprise.

Siblings Abhay Sharma and Smaritika Sharma came to pitch for their safety products called Smart Stick Guardian. The range of safety gear includes tasers, SOS alerts, and flashlights. This was mainly for use in the wild where animals would get a mild jolt from the tasers but be unharmed

To this Namita Thapar, director Emcure Pharmaceuticals jokingly commented, “Ye koi misuse nahi kar sakta kya apne husband ya kisi aur par?” Amit Jain, co-founder of CarDekho called her a wife beater while Anupam Mittal in his patent humorous way said, “Ghar ki baat ghar mein rakha karo, yaha kya bata rahi ho national TV mein!”

The siblings made an offer of Rs 51 lakh with 2% ownership. To this, Anupam, Peyush, and Aman offered Rs 51 lakh for 12 percent stock while Namita, Amit, and Peyush offered Rs 51 lakh for 10% stake. Peyush and Aman ultimately closed the deal at 6% equity.
