For the first time in the history of music based reality shows one will see two girls competing in the finals for the coveted title. Chhote Ustaad on Star Plus has entered its final phase with Aishwarya Majumdar from Ahmedabad and Kolkata’s Anvesha Dattaguptta. set to battle it out. Actress Shilpa Shetty and Mika are expected to be the celebrity judges.
Host Abhaas Joshi says, “They have improved a lot with the number of live performances they’ve been doing while on the show. So, certainly they’ve become better singers than they were.”
The two finalists are in an upbeat mood. When asked about her experience on the show, Aishwarya says, “It’s been a great experience. We’ve lost our friends along the way but then you have to move on and keep being competitive.”
The judging system has been different with Chhote Ustaad as it is not all left to the audience poll. “I think this is very fair because both the audience and the judges are involved in the decision,” said Abhaas.
“The judges have been very fair and even though they’re celebrities, they are very encouraging, friendly and down- to- earth,” added Anvesha.
