MUMBAI: Veteran actress Shilpa Shirodkar, known for her remarkable work in Hindi cinema, has opened up about how Bigg Boss Season 18 became a turning point in her career and life.

After taking a 13-year break from acting to focus on her family life in London, where she embraced motherhood, Shilpa made a powerful comeback to the entertainment industry with Zee TV’s popular series Ek Mutthi Aasmaan in 2013.

Following that, she took another brief hiatus before returning to the spotlight through her appearance on Bigg Boss Season 18.

During her time on the show, Shilpa’s warm and maternal nature, along with her strong bond with co-contestants Karanveer Bohra and Vivian Dsena, made her one of the most adored personalities in the house.

She shared, “All this talk about Bigg Boss not helping contestants get work is absolutely untrue. For me, the show opened many doors — I was offered several opportunities after it. My journey in the house was like being a motherly figure caught between Vivian and Karanveer, and despite that, I landed this film role. I’m truly grateful for that show. The experience was fabulous and something I will cherish forever.”

There’s no doubt that Shilpa won millions of hearts during her time in Bigg Boss, and her fans are now eagerly waiting to watch her return to the big screen in a brand-new avatar with Jatadhara.
