MUMBAI: Here we are back with a shocking piece of news!
A regular drive turned into a nightmare for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actress Yamini Malhotra after her car caught fire. The incident happened late at night recently.
She reveals, “I went out for a drive to Juhu after which I headed to Lokhandwala. I had even posted some fun pictures about it on my Instagram account. In fact, my last story on Instagram has me sitting on the trunk of my car. But as soon as I got back at the steering wheel, I saw fire coming out of the bonnet. I immediately stepped out of the car and before I could even try and figure out what was happening, the fire spread and engulfed the car.”
She adds, “I was in shock because of the way things unfolded so quickly. Some quick thinking passers-by gathered to help and called the fire brigade and the police. By the time the fire brigade could reach the spot, the car was gutted. I was completely shaken. I kept crying and watched helplessly as the flames engulfed my car. I couldn’t do anything to save it. All I could think of was what if I was locked inside the car and couldn’t be saved! I shuddered at the mere thought.”
Yamini says, “I went to the police station to register the report after which I had to return to the spot with the team for the survey of the car. The fire had stopped by then. I could see the ruins of my car - ashes and black, burnt metal. It was painful to watch my car in that state. But I am thankful to God that He saved me from what could have been a catastrophe. I clicked a picture with the ruins of my car with a heavy heart. A happy pose just a few hours earlier turned into a sad one. That proves the uncertainty of life.”

Since the actress is busy shooting for her daily soap, she will have to buy a car on an urgent basis. She says, “The next few days will be tough when it comes to travel. I will have to buy a new car soon. It’s neither convenient nor safe to travel via public transport considering the pandemic situation,” she concludes.
