MUMBAI: Indian film actress Shraddha Das, who has proved her mettle in the Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema, will soon be seen in the digital space. The Great Grand Masti actress will make her digital debut in an interesting project titled Shringardaan. The Arya 2 actress will play a prostitute in it.
TV actor Amar Upadhyay, who became a national sensation post his portrayal of Mihir Virani in the iconic Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, also makes his digital debut. The 41-year-old Bigg Boss contestant will play a character named Gupta, Shraddha’s customer.
The project was shot as a short film but will be split into different episodes to make it a series.
TellyChakkar earlier reported on UP-based industrialist Vibhu Aggarwal launching his own digital platform Firestix by 15 August. Shringardaan will beam on Firestix.
It will be directed by Deepak Pandey, who is also directing various other shows for the platform.
When we contacted Aggarwal, he confirmed the news.
We couldn’t reach out to Shraddha, who is currently shooting for her Kannada film Kotigobba 3. Amar, last seen in Sony TV’s Ekk Deewana Tha, also remained unavailable for a quote.
Firestix is adding big names to its repertoire. As TellyChakkar earlier reported, TV stars Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Harshita Gaur, Madhurima Tuli, Mrunal Jain, Yash Pandit, Megha Gupta, and others have already shot for their projects.
