Handsome hunk Siddhant Karnick, who is popular for his roles in TV shows like Mahhi Way, Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani, Kismat, Aasmaan Se Aage, is the next interesting face to be roped into Disney Bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
Yesterday, Tellychakkar.com reported about one of the upcoming episodics being inspired from the love story of a girl in Jalandhar working at actor Karan Kundra’s call centre. The episode will feature Meher Vij who will essay the role of a girl with a scarred identity working at a call centre in Gurgaon, Delhi. The story will be about a guy falling in love with this girl without even seeing her.
We now hear that Siddhant has been roped in to play the love interest of Meher in the story. He will be a fun-loving boy from Punjab who will believe in living in the moment. Beer and his jeep happen to be his best friends, and the manner in which he will encounter the sweet voice of this girl working in the call centre and fall in love with her without knowing her identity will form the crux of the story.
When contacted, Siddhant confirmed the news stating, “Yes, I am shooting for Yeh Hai Aashiqui. It is a very nice story, and Vikas Gupta (producer) has been doing great work with this show. I play a Punjabi jat boy who falls in love with a girl by only listening to her voice. And the guy goes through a complete transformation from being a carefree boy to a compassionate, responsible person by just interacting with the girl on phone regularly. I always like to do roles that are different and this is indeed one role that caught my eye.”
Furthermore, Aarti Rana, who was earlier seen in Bhoot Aaya, Haunted Nights and Hum Ne Li Hai … Shapath, has also been roped in the project. She will play the colleague of the character played by Meher Vij.
Aarti will support the girl and act as a catalyst in her love life.
“Yes, I play a Punjabi girl who tries helping her friend out of a problem.”
The shooting for this particular episodic is currently on.
Catch this inspiring love tale in Yeh Hai Aashiqui, produced by Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Productions.
