MUMBAI: As the festive spirit of Diwali lights up homes and hearts across the country, Sony SAB artists - Mohit Malik, Rajat Verma, Karuna Pandey, and Gauri Tonnk extend heartfelt gratitude to the many unrecognized heroes who make every celebration possible. From household helpers to the tireless crew and staff working behind the scenes, their unwavering dedication and sacrifices, even during festivals, add a special glow to every moment. This Diwali, Sony SAB’s family of actors come together not just to celebrate the festival of lights, but to honour these remarkable supporters whose selfless service truly embodies the spirit of the festival.
Mohit Malik, essays the role of Lord Shiva in Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki Ganesh Kartikey, shared, “Diwali, for me, is not just about lights and sweets, it’s about the people who make those moments possible. Whether it’s the crew on set working tirelessly or the household staff ensuring everything runs smoothly, their efforts are what make our lives easier. While we celebrate with our families, many of them spend this time away from theirs so that we can enjoy ours. I truly want to thank them for their unwavering commitment and wish them and their families the brightest Diwali possible.”
Karuna Pandey, who portrays the role of Pushpa in Pushpa Impossible, shared, “Every Diwali reminds me that celebrations feel complete only when we recognize the people who work so selflessly around us. Our spot dadas, lightmen, make-up artists, and household staff, they are the real reason everything looks beautiful and functions seamlessly, not just on screen but in life too. Their sacrifices often go unnoticed, yet they continue to give their all with a smile. I wish them endless happiness, good health, and prosperity this festive season.”
Gauri Tonnk, who plays Nandita in Itti Si Khushi, said, “When I think of Diwali, yes, the sweets and lights are wonderful, but it’s really the people behind the scenes who make the celebrations special. It’s heartwarming and humbling to know that while we celebrate, so many are still on duty, making our comfort possible. Be it delivery partners, and drivers who ensure that the world keeps moving even during holidays, to the army and emergency services that never take a day off. That sort of selfless care is what fills my heart. This year, I just want to say a huge thank you. They’re the real light in our lives and I hope their Diwali is as bright as they make ours.”
