MUMBAI: After a significant revamp, Sony TV will move its low-performing drama shows to Sony LIV, its official OTT platform. Because these shows have been facing trouble with poor TRP ratings, the channel has chosen to move shows like Kavya Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon, Pukaar, and Jubilee Talkies to the Sony LIV app from September 9 to September 27.

These shows will only be available on Sony LIV starting on September 9 and will no longer air on the TV channel on September 27. After that, they will be completely off-air. With this change, the channel wants to gain a better understanding of audience preferences and be able to test out different strategies.
It is Sony TV's bigger plan to update its content and increase its ratings, which have been dropping for several months.
It's interesting to note that despite their recent debuts, ‘Jubilee Talkies’ and ‘Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak’ failed to garner much attention from viewers. Along with these cancellations, there are rumors that the recently premiered program ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’ may also be canceled because of low ratings.
Sony TV will replace them with popular classic mythology programs like Mere Sai, Shrimad Ramayan, and Vighnaharta Ganesh. This change will not impact the regular airing schedule of the reality shows.
The revamp is a reflection of Sony TV's attempts to adapt and change to win back viewers while gaining a deeper understanding of their preferences.
