Sony TV's Aahat goes on floor; Shakti Anand and Sukhmani Sadana to feature in the first story

Shakti Anand and Sukhmani Sadana
It was an exclusive read at Tellychakkar.com about Sony Entertainment Television bringing back the extremely popular horror show Aahat, produced by B.P. Singh’s Fireworks Productions. Well, the countdown has now begun for viewers to get into a ‘spooky’ ambience yet again!! Aahat will be back on the TV screens this December, and the channel is presently working out the launch date for their landmark series to return. A highly placed source tells us, “Today (18 November) is a nostalgic day, as Aahat goes on floor yet again from this day after four years. The sets of the Fireworks Productions show is abuzz with activities as they are all set to bring the horror genre back. And the best part will be that the Producer himself B.P. Singh will don the director’s hat for the first episode of Aahat.” So what’s happening on the first day of shoot on the sets of Aahat? Well, the team has got the seasoned actor Shakti Anand to be part of the first episode of this new series. Giving him company will be writer cum actress Sukhmani Sadana. The source further adds, “Shakti who is presently seen essaying the character of Uday Singh in Sony TV’s Maharana Pratap will play the central role in the first story. Sukhmani who was earlier part of Sony TV’s Khotey Sikkey will play a modern corporate woman, another central role. Both of them start shoot from today.” We tried contacting Producer B.P. Singh, but he asked us to call later. When contacted, Shakti Anand confirmed the news stating, “Yes, this is my first day of shoot for Aahat. The new series goes on floor from today. Though I cannot talk about the story, I can only say that I am looking forward to be directed by the eminent person, B.P. Singh. I have heard a lot about the man throughout my career, but have never got an opportunity to work with him. Early in my career, I had featured in the thriller series X-Zone, but have never been part of such a spooky show as Aahat. Aahat’s horror will take viewers to a completely different tangent, as there will be horror running down your spine in every scene.” Sukhmani who has written few movies including the recently released Creature 3D said, “Writing takes much of my time. Hence you have not seen me a lot on TV post Khotey Sikkey. Considering that, such episodics in lead roles are perfect for me. Aahat is a trendsetter, a show that has seen many seasons of airing. And to be part of the first episode of the new series is something in itself. I look forward to this stint, especially because B.P. Singh himself will be the director.” For the uninitiated, Aahat has had a run of five seasons, from the year 1995 to 2010, with more than 450 episodes being produced. So folks, come December, you will indeed be ‘spooked’!! Watch this space for more exclusive updates.
