MUMBAI : Soundous Moufakir is a well-known Moroccan model and dancer.

She participated in reality shows like MTV Roadies and MTV SplitsVilla Season 14 where she was the winner of the show.

Last year she also participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi where she aced all the stunts and faced her fears.

Today she has become a household name and has a good fan following.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Soundous and asked her if she has faced any rude rejections and shared her views on her ideal Soundous Moufakir.

In the initial days people used to make fun of Katrina's language but then slowly she was accepted. Do you think that one day you will also make it?

I don't think that acting is limited to one language as it is done in so many other languages. If you see the movie 'Animal' and 'Barfi' in both the movies Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol didn't have dialogues but they shined in the movie without having proper dialogues and its only a part of what acting.

Did you face any rude rejections?

Yes, even if someone comes to you and asks you who you are and what kind of work I have done I wouldn't take it as a rude rejection as who am I and I am not nobody as yet. You have the right to not like me as I haven't done anything big. So the rude rejection doesn't come if they don't know you, it comes with the demand if one doesn't fit the offer.

Did you lose on to a project which you thought you could do, but didn't materialise?

The recent role that I remember was of a Bihari girl coming to Mumbai to pursue her career and dream and she is a dancer and I thought that it wasn't right for me as my diction wasn't right of a Bihari and there are projects that didn't work with me.

You admire Nora Fathei. What do you think about her journey?

It wasn't easy for her. It took her 12 years to get the movie Madgaon Express and she worked so hard on her language and the way she looked and she improved her dancing also as she wasn't that good dancer also. From hip- hop, to street dance to belly Dance she had to break her bones and body to reach where she is and to be recognized for her work. Post that she also opened doors to be judging reality shows and then for movies.

Well, there is no doubt that Soundous Moufakir with a lot of hard work and dedication.
