Shashi Sumeet Mittal’s immensely popular show on Star Plus, Diya Aur Baati Hum has certainly added yet another feather to its already meritorious cap. For the first time ever, a lane in Pushkar was renamed, and is today called by the name ‘Hanuman Galli’, which is famous on the television show.
As we know, the long-running show on TV has the backdrop of Pushkar, and the lane in which the protagonists Sooraj and Sandhya stay has been called as Hanuman Galli. The show’s remarkable popularity gave rise to a situation wherein tourists visiting the place went out disappointed on not finding the very lane in the place.
Hence the Government of Rajasthan took the possible steps to rename a lane and make Hanuman Galli a reality.
We hear that the entire cast and crew of the show, along with their Producers were at Pushkar for the event. And the scenes there were unbelievable as the crowd assembled was unprecedented. The eagerness in their faces to meet and greet their favourite stars talked volumes about the show’s popularity.
Of course, the entire cast and crew got a much-needed day’s break on Saturday (5 December) and had a great time in Pushkar, a memory that will remain etched in them forever.
When contacted, Deepika Singh aka Sandhya told Tellychakkar.com, “It was a huge day for us. The place was over pouring with people and it was indeed a wonderful experience for all of us. The entire cast and crew were present in Pushkar.”
Kanika Maheshwari, our very own Meenakshi said, “This is indeed a prestigious honour bestowed upon the show and its artists. We enjoyed our day’s break in great style, and got all the love and appreciation from the people out there.”
We tried calling Neelu Vaghela and Anas Rashid, but did not get through to them.
