Star One's The Great Indian Laughter Challenge has been one of the most watched show in the recent times. With around two years into the rib-tickling service, the show is ready with a fresh new episodic series titled The Laughter Champions Mahayudh. The new series will witness a battle of wits between the contestants who have taken part in the earlier shows and would be divided into two teams of six people each. The sardar of humour, Navjot Singh Sidhu would captain one team, while the other would be headed by the original bad boy of bollywood---Shakti Kapoor. Commenting on the spirit of the new series, Rauf Lala, the winner of the Laughter Challenge Dwitya tiltle says, "The uniqueness of this series would be to put forth the best in the true spirit of a team performance. Here individuality would be conquered by synergy. The team's performace would be the top priority for all of us." We met Navoj Sigh Sidhu on the sets of the show who crackled with his ready to fire one-liners, free-flow poetry and wise cracks. Seemed like he was ready to take on the 12 contestants alone. A sample of his free flowing poetry for Perizaad's (the host of the show) marital status reads: Perizaad Ka Hukka Kab Ka Buj Chuka Yeh To Hum Hain Ki Gud-Gudaye Jaate Hain Comparing his team with a bouquet of flowers, the flamboyant sardar said "Each member of my team is like a flower and the bouquet looks attractive when many colours combine into one. I am sure that the coming together of these champions would be a treat to watch for the audiences." One of the late arrivals on the launch was controversies favourite man Shakti Kapoor. But for controversies, the actor would have been obscure for sure. The actor summed up the new series as a competition between a cricketer and an actor. In reply to a question about his participation in the show, the actor said, "I was a guest on one of its episodes and used to watch the show regularly. I think it's the only show that has so many great performers coming together which made the offer too tempting for me to refuse." With a cricketer and an actor on-board, this comic spectacle cannot sound more interesting. And hello, the two captains do not share the screen space but something else too. Any guesses---Controversies. Yeah right!
