There's a special connection between Ramayan fame Ramanand Sagar and filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra

MUMBAI: Ramanand Sagar is popularly known for his classic mythological show Ramayan which aired in the late 80s. The show gave this ace director a lot of fame and he is still known for the same.  

While a lot has been spoken about Ramanand Sagar's professional life which has been a great one, very few know about his personal life.  

Not many are aware that Ramanand has a connection with Bollywood's ace producer-director-writer Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Yes, that's right! 

Ramanand was adopted by his maternal grandmother, who had no son.  His name was changed from Chandramouli Chopra to Ramanand Sagar. After his biological mother died, his father remarried and had further children with her, including Vidhu Vinod Chopra.  

This makes Ramanand and Vidhu Vinod half brothers.
