After making her TV debut with Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Mona featured in several serials and films. With her first TV show, the diva left an everlasting impression. Later, she starred in shows like Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi, Kya Huaa Tera Vaada, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, and Kavach...Kaali Shaktiyon Se. In 2009, she made her Bollywood debut with 3 Idiots and is presently working on Aamir Khan's next film Laal Singh Chaddha.

In December 2019, Mona married Shyam Rajagopalan in a traditional Sikh ceremony. They recently flew to Manali for a short vacay. Several holiday photos were shared by the actress on Instagram.
