MUMBAI: For an actor, love and appreciation from the audience mean everything. Viewers’ affection and admiration often define an artist’s success and legacy. In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Niharika Chouksey, who plays the role of Anu in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Tumm Se Tumm Tak, opened up about her most heartwarming fan encounters and more.

Recalling a particularly touching moment, Niharika shared, “There was this one fan who made a beautiful sketch of Anu and gifted it to me while I was shooting outdoors. She had also written a heartfelt note about how Anu’s resilience inspired her during a difficult phase in her own life. That really moved me — it made me realize how storytelling can truly touch lives in ways we may not even be aware of.”

She also remembered another emotional encounter, saying, “Once, a young girl came up to me with tears in her eyes and said, ‘Anu reminds me of my elder sister.’ She told me she watches Tumm Se Tumm Tak every evening because it makes her feel closer to her sister, who lives in another city. I was so overwhelmed by that moment. It’s amazing how fiction can build such deep emotional connections in real life.”

Talking about meeting her fans and taking pictures with them, Niharika said, “I always make it a point to greet them warmly because I understand how much courage and excitement it takes to come up and say hello.”

She further added, “I think selfies have made these moments more personal and instant. Earlier, an autograph felt like a keepsake; now a selfie captures the exact emotion of that meeting — the smiles, the excitement, everything.”

Niharika also shared that she doesn’t mind clicking pictures with fans in public places either. “Of course, if I’m in a rush or it’s not the right moment, I politely request them to wait for a minute or two, and they’re usually very understanding. I believe mutual respect makes these interactions smoother and more memorable for both sides,” she concluded.
