Another dirty picture of the glam town has surfaced!
23 year old TV actor Sourabh Sai Sartaj has been arrested on alleged rape charges.
A Bengaluru based tabloid has reported about the case. A team of police from the city arrested the actor yesterday in Mumbai. He has been sent to judicial custody.
As per the report, Sourabh reportedly met the victim, 15 years older to him at a dance show and hit off instantly. Soon the two became friends and were in constant touch.
As per the complaint of the victim, the accused once visited her home and also stayed at her Guest House. The victim states that the accused mixed sedative in her orange juice and raped her.
He also reportedly shot the entire footage on his mobile and used the video to blackmail her.
The complainant further states that the guy raped her repeatedly between January and July at different hotels in Bengaluru. Police team visited the hotels and have also found evidences against him. The police have also seized the video footage.
In April, the accused forced her to visit him in another hotel. Since she did not respond to her husband’s calls, he sent a test to her saying he will report her missing to the police.
Even the woman went back home, her husband found something amiss and left her at her parents’ home. Already emotionally disturbed, the victim lost all her patience when the accused threatened to kill her daughter.
Demanding 15 lakh to help him pay for a movie he had signed, he also extracted money from her to pay the rent for his flat at Andheri.
"The accused forced her to sell gold ornaments in a city jewellery shop," a cop has been quoted saying to the Tabloid. The police have also found footage to prove the same.
Unable to stand the mental pressure, the woman approached the police. "There is enough evidence to prove that the accused was blackmailing the victim and there are also CCTV footages with both the accused and victim being together either at the hotels or the jewellery stores," the officer added in the report.
The case would be heard in the court soon.
