Uday Pratap Singh, who acted in Bengali soaps like Tumi Ele Tai and Devi Pokkho and in a few episodes of Sony Entertainment Television's Crime Patrol, will be seen in a cameo appearance in Zee Bangla's newly launched Jamai Raja. He has also played the male lead in the upcoming short film ‘The Bonfire Night’.
In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Uday talked about his two new projects.
Talking about his role in Jamai Raja, he said, “I am playing Abhishek. The guy boasts a lot, does all the talking to impress the girl (Shreema Bhattacherjee) but ultimately he fails. The girl’s mother (Chaiti Ghoshal) thinks I will be the perfect jamai for her daughter.”
We hear the character of Abhishek will bring lots of twists in the tale. Stay hooked to the show as Uday’s entry will be shown very soon.
Now coming to the short film, The Bonfire Night is a romantic film. As mentioned earlier, here he is playing the male lead.
So, how did Uday bag the film? He replied, “Paramo Neotia is the director of the film. I have worked with her in her first short film Aatish where Vikram Chatterjee was the lead.”
When asked to share his feelings about this development, he expressed, “I have only seen it while dubbing…not sure about the final product though but I hope it has turned out well. I really loved working with Paroma. It's an actor’s delight to have a director like her. She is very supportive and even our DOP Pratip Da has shot the film brilliantly. It looks so vibrant.”
The Bonfire Night will see him opposite model-actress Darshana Banik.
When we asked him how was it to work with her, he quipped, “She was fun. I didn't know her before our shoot but it was great working with her. She has got a million dollar smile.”
Great going, Uday! We wish you great success for your future endevours.
The Bonfire Night will release soon in YouTube.
