MUMBAI: Actress Radhika Vidyasagar, who plays the role of Renuka Deshmukh in Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Productions Udne Ki Aasha, says that the show means a lot to her. As the show crosses its 500th episode, she adds that she has learnt so much along the way and cherishes each moment.
“The entire journey of Udne Ki Aasha has been incredibly memorable. From the first look test to reaching this milestone, every step has meant something. But if I had to pick, I’d say the celebrations on set, be it birthdays, milestones, or just spontaneous moments of laughter have been truly special. Each of those moments brought us all closer, making this not just a project but an unforgettable chapter of my life,” she says.

She adds, “Playing such a prominent role, especially one with so many emotional layers, has challenged me in the best way. The relationship between Sachin and Renuka is intense, it moves from love to conflict and back again, and that emotional range pushed me to grow as an actor. There were times I had to do 20 pages of dialogues in a single day! That kind of dedication and immersion changes you, not just professionally, but personally too. It’s made me more patient, more emotionally in tune, and more confident in my craft.”
Talking about an emotional connect with her fans, she says, “It feels amazing. Honestly, the love we receive from the audience is what keeps us going. It’s overwhelming in the best way. The kind of emotional investment they have in our story, in the ups and downs of our characters, it’s a reminder that we’re doing something right. I feel incredibly grateful every time someone reaches out or expresses what the show means to them.”
She adds, “Working with Rahul Tewary sir has been a pleasure. He’s very calm, clear in his vision, and gives all of us the space to grow as artists. I think what makes Udne Ki Aasha so loved and consistent is its heart, the story always comes from a very real, emotional place. The characters feel authentic, and the relationships, especially between Sachin and Renuka, are layered and relatable. That sincerity is what keeps the show going strong, even after 500 episodes. This journey will always stay with me. I’m filled with gratitude, for the team, the audience, and the universe. We’re moving onwards and upwards, and I’m just thankful to be part of something so special.”
