As we reported earlier that Cinevistaas is all set to make a thriller love story for Sony, the latest update on the show is that Anuj Sachdev of Sabki Laadli Bebo fame is not doing this show and instead an actor called Vikram will play this role.
A source says, "We have started our first schedule in Manali. It is a love story between three people Karan Hukku and a new girl Priyanka Chopra will play a lead while a relatively new actor Vikram will play the parallel lead. His role will primarily be negative and eventually it will turn positive. Anuj was approached to play this role and he was about to accept this offer but things did not work out. Now Vikram has been roped in and he is very suitable for the role. He too liked this character and gave the nod immediately."
Continuing the source adds, "Priyanka will play character of Tashi who is a very innocent girl. The show is set against the backdrop of Kashmir. Earlier we were planning to select a title for the show based on the lead's name so previously it was Ruhi, but later it was changed to Tashi. So tentatively it will be called Tashi, however the final decision will be taken by the creative team and the channel."
Actor Vikram was last seen in Cinevistaas' show called Har Kadam Pe Shaq Hai.The first schedule of eight days is taking place in Manali currently and the show is expected to go on air next month in the prime time slot.
As for the buzz that Siddarth Malhotra will direct this show he categorically denied the same. "No, I am not directing anything for Cinevistaas. I direct only films for Dharma Productions," Malhotra said.
