Star Plus treading towards its ‘Nayi Soch’ tagline is all set to bring American sitcom The Last Man Standing with a desi twist to be helmed by Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd.

The show that will present a senior executive’s life’s struggles with his wife and daughters. Along with humour, the series will add a dash of drama too.

Now we have exclusive news that comedy king Vinay Pathak, who enthralled us in films like Bheja Fry, Khosla Ka Ghosla and has been part of TV shows like Hip Hip Hurray has bagged the lead role.

Shared a source, “Vinay will play the protagonist who will be torn between his wife and daughters. His trouble times with the women in life will make the world giggle in fun. The channel was very clear of roping in a talented and popular face and after an extensive search they finally zeroed upon Vinay.”

As per sources, the series will soon go on floors.

When we reached to Vinay he said, “Everything has its own time and things are at a very nascent stage. Wait for some time and then I would be able to talk on the matter.”

As per reports, Smita Bansal will play the role of Vinay's wife.
