Everyone has a past and everyone makes mistakes. But smart is an individual who learn from the follies and moves on eyeing the brighter future ahead. And similar is the case with actress Vindhya Tiwari who is currently seen speaking chaste Urdu in Colors’ Mrs Pammi Pyarelal (Playtime Creations). But before this Varanasi district gal started making inroads in the TV space (Maryada Lekin Kab Tak and Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein etc), she had acted in a B grade film where she had even done a kissing scene, the videos of which are circulating on YouTube. “My parents always told me to learn from mistakes and avoid repeating them. Hence I decided to make a clean break from the past and start afresh in the TV industry based only on hard work, nothing else.” She began her small screen career with Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. “Later on my basis of performance I bagged Maryada and other shows. This is no mean feat given the fact that I don’t have a Godfather in this industry.” Vindhya continues, “Right now I am totally concentrating on my career. I avoid partying, I also make it a point to hit the gym even when I have a day shoot. Last but not the least even though I love to gorge on pizzas and pastas, I eat only healthy grub for I will look bad on screen if I put on weight.” Coming back to Pammi Pyarelel, Vindhya’s Urdu in the show is so good that even the Muslim guys on the set who would never converse in Urdu earlier have started speaking again in this beautiful language. “In an attempt to further refine my hold over Urdu, I make it a point to speak the lingo with others. I closely follow Urdu TV shows and pick up mannerisms from there. When I wish Muslims with their traditional greeting line, they get surprised for I use the entire line instead of just first few words which is normally done.” Way to go…Vindhya!!!
