When Amitabh Bachchan got to kiss Lord Krishna

He usually has the world at his feet. That’s the kind of respect that superstar Amitabh Bachchan commands. For a change, Big B was in awe of another being and that too a little child. That lucky kid happens to be none other than Dhriti Bhatia, who played Lord Krishna in Colors show Jai Shree Krishna . So impressed was Bachchan by the 6-year-old that he requested little Bhatia for a peck on the cheeks. Dhriti, along with other child actors like Zaynah Vastani (Antara of Aapki Antara) and her on-screen brother Raj Simaira (Abhishek), Sparsh Khandchandani (Ichcha of Uttaran) and Swini Khara (Baa Bahoo aur Baby) were given a chance to interact with the cast of Aladin. So charmed was Big B by Dhriti that he seemed least interested in answering to the queries posed by the media. Says a source, “Amitabh Bachchan enjoyed his time with these kids but he took a special liking for Dhriti. He just couldn’t take his interest off the little wonder. It got funny when Amitabh asked her if she would like to kiss him. He brought his face towards her so that she could kiss his cheeks but Dhriti decided to kiss his hands. Bachchan too reciprocated by planting a kiss on her hands and that is when the child artist told him that she fears that his beard might prick her cheeks. This had everyone in splits.” When contacted Gagan Bhatia, Dhriti’s father said, “Yes, Amitabh ji took an instant liking for Dhriti and the two got along like house on fire. Apart from the kissing incident, there was one more incident which cracked our lips. That was when the lead actress of the film Jacqueline Fernandez made her wear Aladin shirt and Amitabh ji pulled her hair out of the shirt. Dhriti then told Mr. Bachchan that he is her father, Jacqueline her mother and Riteish is her brother to which the legend replied, “You are so benign lady’.” Well, these kids certainly know how to mingle with the country’s biggest superstar.
