When Ekta made my zindagi mast

A page from the personal diary of Panchi Bora The turning point in my life was when Ekta Kapoor selected me for the lead role in the MTV serial Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi. I was always a good student and dreamt of studying law. So when Ekta selected me, it was a big decision for me to leave studies and join this field. The whole experience was different, since I was working for the first time. Plus it is not easy for girls, it is extremely difficult to work and I didn’t know how it would turn out to be. There are a lot of reservations; initially, no one is bound to like you. But nevertheless, I was thrilled and really excited to be the chosen one. I was into the whole selection process just for fun; I was not serious about it all. I had gone there for fun. But when it happened I was shocked and happy because a big producer like Ekta had chosen me. I will always be grateful to her for giving me such a big responsibility. I knew that very moment that it was a great opportunity for me. My happiness knew no bounds. I am happy doing what I am doing now. If she wouldn’t have given me this chance I would not have been able to become what I am today. I would not have come into this career. I would have probably been a lawyer by now. I guess destiny played a very important role in my life. The MTV serial was definitely the first turning point in my life followed by my entry in Kayamath, the second big moment for me. An opportunity that gave me a chance to live in Mumbai, something I had always missed.
