When people started calling me by my first name

A page from the personal diary of Pravesh Rana After my Bigg Boss stint, I signed up for a new reality show for kids called Chak Dhoom Dhoom. I am not participating in the show, but hosting it with the immensely talented Saloni Daini. I am really looking forward to it. I am surprised to see these talented kids. It's amazing. I will be like their elder brother in the show and will encourage and entertain them.

I am going through a mix of emotions right now. Especially when I think who I was a few months back and who I am today. For me the last few months have seen me transform from a commoner to a known face. When I joined Bigg Boss, apart from my friends and relatives, no one knew me. But when I came out of the house, not only did everyone on the streets know me but they were even calling me by my first name! In fact, they were calling out my name so loudly for a moment I thought they were money lenders who I had borrowed money from and had failed to repay in time. But I enjoy the attention a lot. The other high in my stint with Bigg Boss was meeting Mr Amitabh Bachchan. I realised I had become a known face, otherwise he would not have met me the way he did. I have no qualms in admitting those 54 days changed my life completely. Today I am fortunate that people from all walks of life know me and what I have done or plan to do. But, no matter how famous I become, I will never change as a person. Many people ask me if I have changed after Bigg Boss. My honest answer to all of them is I am the same person who I was before I entered the glamour industry. In fact, I call my close friends and relatives more often now than I used to earlier. Sometimes I do it consciously because otherwise everyone will think I have changed. I still go to have a meetha paan after dinner from the same shop that I used to patronise earlier. Why should I change my life just because I have become a known face? I still consider myself a guy from a middle class family. It is only three years back that we got an air conditioner in our house. I don’t think money is the most important thing in life. Yes, I am financially settled in Mumbai which is very important, but one should know just how much money is important in life.
