On Saturday night (26 October 2013) Bollywood superstar Salman Khan had lambasted Kushal Tandon and Gauahar Khan on Bigg Boss7 (Colors) for their alleged mistreatment of housemate Tanisha Mukherjee. This verbal lashing had generated a lot of online heat and dust and many fans had vented their fury against Salman for what they perceived him being biased towards a member of his own film fraternity (Tanisha) against TV actors. They had also questioned the kid glove treatment what Salman gave to Armaan Kohli for abusing Kamya Punjabi. Since Salman had gone personal against both Kushal and Gauahar, we decided to speak to people close to both of them and tried to elicit a response. Accordingly, we got in touch with Gauahar’s sister, TV actress Nigaar Khan and Kushal’s Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai co-star and good friend Nia Sharma. But surprisingly both of them refused to talk. Nigaar who was last seen hosting a show on a news channel said, “It would be better that Gauahar herself gives a reaction when she comes out. It would be wrong on my part to comment on what she might be feeling inside. All I want to say is that I am proud of my younger sister.” And coming to Nia, she said that she does not watch Bigg Boss and requested us not to drag her name in all this mess. A source speculated whether this reluctance to comment on part of people close to both Gauahar and Kushal could be stemming from a desire to not to antagonize a certain Mr. Khan. We all know what happened to Vivek Oberoi after his public spat with Salman over Aishwarya Rai. Vivek apparently had to struggle for a long time to get meaty roles.
