MUMBAI: Tina Dutta will soon be seen in Zee5’s webseries Naxalbari. She will share screen space with popular faces like Amir Ali and Rajeev Khandelwal. Tellychakkar.com speaks to Tina exclusively about her excitement to shoot the series, her bond with the two actors and what made her give a nod to this project among many other things.

What excited you to take this project?

A lot of things excited me to take up the project. It was for a really good platform- Zee5, the concept was really good, the character was something that I’ve never portrayed before, and also we were shooting in Goa.  

How are you looking forward to shooting with Amir Ali and Rajeev Khandelwal?

Working with Rajeev Khandelwal was an amazing experience! I happen to shoot with him only 2-3 days but he’s a fabulous actor, extremely professional, and a very nice and warm actor. I found it very easy to do my scenes with him, as an actor you often wonder how your first scene will go, but he was extremely comfortable to work with on set and a very decent actor. I know Amir Ali personally since donkey’s years but I have never worked with him, so I am looking forward to working with him as well. Though I don’t think I have scenes with Amir so I might not be shooting with him but I do have a few phone call shots with Amir.  

What are you looking forward to in terms of shooting the project?

Content-wise Naxalbari is a very intriguing and interesting project. Something I have never worked on before, storyline-wise, and character-wise too I am going to be seen in a very different and diverse shade this time which is what I am really looking forward to! Overall, I am looking forward to a lot of better projects especially digital projects, web series, etc.  

Is the experience different from shooting for TV?

Web shows are shorter-lived than television shows, so of course, the way we shoot for a digital project is definitely different from a daily soap. The days are lesser and even the style of shooting is a bit different, with a lot more attention to detail on characters and the plot.
