Sharing her thoughts, Jayati Bhatia exclusively told TellyChakkar, “Today is World Television Day, and after eight years in TV, I can confidently say that television is at the core of who I am. Growing up, TV in India was very simple — black-and-white Doordarshan was all we had. With time, satellite channels arrived, and television became more than entertainment; it became a shared heartbeat for all of us.”
She further added, “Television has given me my identity. I’m not known just as someone’s daughter, mother, or sister — I am Jayati Bhatia because of my work on TV. My characters have touched people’s lives, and I’m deeply grateful for that. Thank you, television, for giving me purpose, respect, and so much love. Happy World Television Day — I hope I get to celebrate it with you for many years to come.”
