MUMBAI: On 15th September 2025, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Rohit Purohit shared the good news of welcoming a baby boy. He also mentioned that the baby and mother are doing fine. As soon as Purohit shared the post, fans and friends bombarded the post with congratulatory messages.
TellyChakkar.com got in touch with Rohit's co-star and popular actress Samridhii Shukla and asked her about the good news. She said, "I was overjoyed to hear the news of Rohit and Sheena’s baby on social media. We were all so thrilled and excited. Since Rohit was already on a break, we knew he’d be by Sheena’s side, and we were eagerly waiting for this announcement. And finally—it’s a baby boy! We somehow had a feeling it would be a boy, and I believe Rohit, too, was hoping for one. I sincerely wish the best for both the baby and the mother. I can’t wait to see them begin this beautiful journey of parenthood."

When asked if the cast of YRKKH predicted girl or boy for Rohit, Samridhii said, "We weren’t specifically team boy or girl, but we always noticed how wonderful Rohit is with kids. We knew that whether it was a boy or a girl, he’d be an amazing father. Still, because he had hoped for a boy, we all felt it's going to be a boy—and now it is! It’s truly wonderful news, and I send my heartfelt good wishes to the entire family."
