Ajay Wadhavkar

Veteran Hindi and Marathi actor Ajay Wadhavkar, who played Sushant Singh Rajput's father in Pavitra Rishta, passed away in Pune on February 27. He was best known for his role as Ganpat Havaldar in Doordarshan's show 'Nukkad' and was battling throat cancer.

Sudha Shivpuri

Sudha Shivpuri was an Indian actress who was most famous for her role as Baa in the Hindi TV serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Sudha passed away on May 20.

Mohan Bhandari

Bengali film, television, and stage actor Pijush Ganguly, who met with an accident, died on October 25.

Kunal Kumar Bhandula

Brother of 'Mary Kom' fame director Omung Kumar, Kunal Kumar Bhandula, who owns an event company passed away on November 25 in his sleep. Kunal was only 40 years old. He had also designed the sets for many other awards and non-fiction shows on television like Dance Plus, I Can Do That, Masterchef India 4, The Indian Telly Awards, The Gold Awards.

Saeed Jaffrey

Veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey, 86, who was suffering from age-related ailments, died on November 15. He worked in as many as 100 films in Indian and British cinema. His famous Bollywood outings include Chashme Buddoor, Masoom, Ram Teri Ganga Maili, Ram Lakhan, and Henna, among many others.

Aadesh Shrivastava

Music composer Aadesh Shrivastava died after a tough battle with cancer. Aadesh passed away in Mumbai on September 5.

Ashraf-ul-Haq

A talented actor, Ashraf-ul-Haq, breathed his last on Februaury 17, in Mumbai. He was suffering from a rare disorder called Myelodysplastic syndrome and was going through a treatment for the past two years.

Ravindra Jain

Ravindra Jain, the blind maverick whose command over devotional music and film music is considered matchless, died at the Lilavati Hospital on October 9 after a multiple-organ failure. He was 71.
