TV Newcomers (Female) 2014

TV Newcomers (Female) 2014

We all know that the small screen belongs to actresses. Almost all the soaps are written with the female protagonists in mind. We present to you the top newcomers of this year (female), take a look:

Preetika Rao (Beintehaa-Colors)

Amrita Rao's younger sister Preetika has made a stunning debut in this Colors' offering. It's no doubt that she looks as beautiful as her older sister and manages to deliver a kickass performance too.

Shivya Pathania (Humsafars-Sony TV)

As a small-town girl, Shivya aka Arzoo embarks on a fashion journey where she meets the love of her life. The former beauty queen does a neat job as a fashion designer, hell bent on making it big!

Pooja Sharma (Mahabharat-Star Plus)

The Delhi girl debuted on the small screen as 'Draupadi' in this epic drama. While the former Miss India finalist does a good job of it, what we can get over is how gorgeous she is onscreen.

Radhika Madan (Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi-Colors)

Everybody knows her Ishani, because that's how popular her screen name. As the love-lorn girl in the popular Colors' show, Madan is amazing. We wish to see her in more roles soon.

Pranali Ghogare (Mere Rang Mein Ranganewali-Life OK)

Her onscreen character is adorably sweet on the show. We like how effortless her screen presence and acting is. Way to go, girl!

Tulip Joshi (Airlines)

Last seen in mediocre Bollywood movies, the lass made her TV debut in Airlines. While the show failed to take off, the actor was appreciated for her role and acting chops.

Nalini Negi (Laut Aao Trisha-Life OK)

Playing the titular role in your debut serial is a tough thing to do, but Negi proves that wrong as Trisha. She might be missing in action in many scenes, but she is memorably whenever she makes an appearance.

Shamata Anchan (Everest-Star Plus)

Landing the lead role in this magnum opus may be a stroke of luck for this beauty, but doing a damn good job of it sorely her responsibility. She is kickass as the tough and determined trekker in this series.

Niti Taylor (Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan-MTV)

The youngster had many a starring role in various episodics, but her lead role in this youth show has catapulted her into the big league.

Chetna Pande (Fanaah-MTV)

Pande as the Avni in this vampire series made her a household name. Thanks to her, even Indian audiences have been able to get acquainted with vampires and werewolves.

Neha Pednekar (Shastri Sisters-Colors)

As one of the feisty sisters 'Alka', she has the plot revolving her life. From her love to her bond with her sisters, she delivers a power-packed performance every time she is on the screen. We are glad that the former hairstylist chose acting as her profession!

Ishita Ganguly (Shastri Sisters-Star Plus)

Landing a parallel lead in a daily soap is a big thing and Ganguly certainly knows that. From small roles in Bengali films to a major prime time serial, the lass has come a long way. And we are glad of that because she lights up the screen with her antics, doesn't she?

Rajshri Rani Pandey (Suhani Si Ek Ladki-Star Plus)

Another newbie landed the titular role in a hit daily soap. Pandey would never have expected the show to be such a hit. But it has. And so has Pandey who has become a star overnight.

Neha Yadav (Suhani Si Ek Ladki-Star Plus)

Her parallel lead in this hit show makes her one of the most popular actresses on TV right now. She feels that her character is similar to 'Geet' from Jab We Met. We are in agreement with her. Because she is as good as Katrina Kapoor.

Mohena Singh (Dil Dostii Dance-Channel V)

She can dance, she can emote and she can certainly deliver a dialogue like a pro. What else can you expect from a newbie, eh?
