The year started with a bang with many TV shows being launched. The viewers were treated with some really great shows whose content was totally different and entertaining for the audiences. To strike a chord immediately with the audience, the makers often opt for familiar titles which already are quite popular. Hence many Bollywood songs have inspired television shows’ titles.

So, here is a list of TV shows from 2020 whose titles are inspired by Bollywood songs.

1.Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein: The song Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein from the movie Rampur Ka Lakhshman featured the evergreen Rekha and Randhir Kapoor. The song still has a loyal fan-base and the makers of Star Plus cashed in on the popular song by naming their daily soap ‘Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein’. The makers also roped in Bollywood Diva Rekha to promote the show.

2.Apna Time Bhi Aayega: The popular phrase ‘Apna Time Aayega’ from Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy became an instant hit so much so that it was used as a caption on t-shirts and clothes. The catchy phrase inspired the makers of Zee TV show as they titled their show ‘Apna Time Bhi Aayega’.

3.Mere Dad Ki Dulhan: Sony TV’s show produced by DJ’s Creative Unit seems to be inspired by Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer movie ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. The movie’s title track was quite loved by the audience.

4.Qurban Hua: The song ‘Kurabaan Hua’ from Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer movie Kurbaan is still loved by many. The song sung by Vishal Dadlani depicted pain, betrayal, and unconditional love. The title went pretty well with the Zee TV show and its storyline hence they picked it up as the title for their show.

5. Namak Ishq Ka: Bipasha Basu redefined hotness in the movie Omkara. The song stood out for its brilliant presentation. Gul Khan’s show for Colors is based on a dancer and hence the title perfectly suited along with the connotation that love is an important spice of life.

6.Shumbharambh: While Shubharambh is a commonly used Hindi phrase, Kai Po Che’s song ‘Hey Shubharambh’ became extremely popular and made the phrase known to the younger generation as well. Colors’ show produced by Shashi-Sumeet Productions cashed in on the same for their show.
