It’s the daily soaps that rule the small screen. And over the years, TV soaps have become an integral part of audience’s lives. Every tale entertains viewers with its own unique ways. However, some manage to be a bit more popular among the audience. So, here we present some of the top shows that managed to be the favourites of the audience. Check out-
Goyenda Ginni (Shree Venkatesh Films)-Zee Bangla
The Zee Bangla daily undoubtedly was one of the popular series of 2016. For its fresh concept, short stories, suspense elements and stellar cast (like Indrani Haldar, Indrajit Bose, Aditi Chatterjee etc), the detective series grabbed many eyeballs and kept them hooked throughout the year. However, it wrapped up in the end of 2016 and now many of its loyal viewers want it back.
Potol Kumar Gaanwala (Shree Venkatesh Films)-Star Jalsha
The Star Jalsha daily was one of the popular shows of Bengal in 2016. The emotional tale of Potol, a young singing prodigy, who steps out on a mission to find out her father, moved many to tears. The young girl Potol aka Hiya touched hearts of the audience by her natural acting.
Deep Jwele Jaai-Tent Cinema-Zee Bangla
Tales that talk about struggle, inspiration and dreams easily strike a chord with the audience’s heart and this Tent Cinema creation is one of them. A girl’s struggle of becoming an accomplished badminton player after overcoming myriad hurdles, her husband’s support throughout the journey even after many fights over many issues and the innumerable traps laid by her enemies on her path…all together made it an engrossing serial to watch.
Khokababu-Blues Productions-Star Jalsha
This Blues Productions daily is one of the adorable soaps of the year. With ample laugh out loud moments and less complexity, the rom com is a treat to watch. After a hard day's work, who doesn’t like to share some light moments at home. Khokababu surely is a plate with full of light and adorable moments. And the khatta mitha chemistry between Khoka (Pratik Sen) and Tori (Trina Saha) is cherry on the top. The industry should bring more such light hearted comedy shows.
Benebou-Blues Productions-Colors Bangla
No matter how much we hate the third person in a couple’s life, it seems triangle love stories never bore the audience. With highly emotional love battles between two women for one man, lots of twists and turns and typical saas-bahu drama, the show seems to have full on entertained the audience throughout the year. Kudos to the team.
Satyamev Jayate-Aakash Aath
The daily became one of the most watched shows of the channel for many reasons. As the protagonist (Shampa Banerjee) is a crime journalist, she keeps on solving new cases and this way audience too get to see new stories. The team also unnecessarily does not stretch one single plot for too long. There is thrill, suspense as well as content in the daily. Not to forget Shampa’s powerful performance.
