MUMBAI: Filmmakers are slowly switching to OTT platforms due to uncertainty over the opening of theaters. The tradition has started with Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana's film Gulabo Sitabo. The film released on Amazon Prime on June 12. Now, news is that Abhishek Bachchan's Big Bull will have an OTT release.
As per reports, the makers are in talks with some OTT platforms. The film is being produced by Ajay Devgan, who is in touch with OTT platforms. Big Bull is the biopic of Harshad Mehta, the emperor of the stock market. Abhishek is playing his character in the film. Recently, there was news that shooting of the film, which had stopped due to Coronavirus pandemic, could start again in July. Negotiations are going on for the film.

Ileana D'Cruz is in the female lead role with Abhishek Bachchan in Big Bull. According to reports, both have no objection to the digital release. The film is directed by Kuki Gulati. Big Bull was scheduled to be released in theaters on October 23.
In the last few days, several films have been announced to be released online. The most recent is Gunjan Saxena, which will be released on Netflix. Shakuntala Devi of Vidya Balan is coming on Amazon Prime. However, its release date has not been revealed yet.
Apart from this, there have been reports about Akshay Kumar's film Lakshmi Bomb, which was scheduled to be released on Eid.
