MUMBAI: Actor Akshay Dogra, who was last seen in Dil Hi Toh Hai as Rishab Noon, This time, viewers are set in store for the story of a Don called Ranveer in the upcoming crime drama titled Dr. Donn. In the series, Akshay will be playing the role of Abhijeet Choubey, an inspector and a private investigator.
Abhijeet is an honest cop from Punjab, whose life's only aim is to prove Ranveer Don (Nakul Roshan Sahdev) guilty and put him behind bars.
Speaking about the new project, Akshay said, "This indeed is an exciting part of my journey as an actor as I make my debut for the web, and who better to make it with than ALTBalaji and Zee5. It’s like coming back home for me, as I have earlier worked with Balaji. Every actor wants to play the role of a cop at least once in their career and I’m glad to have got that chance in my very first web series. Having put in my best effort towards playing the role, I hope that my character, as well as the series, is well appreciated by the viewers as always."

The series is based on the life of Ranveer Don, the paper-leak kingpin who allegedly helped many aspirants to get admission in engineering, medical, and management colleges. He is known to have leaked entrance exam papers of IIT, MBBS, IAS, and IPS between 1995 and 2003.
The series stars Nakul Roshan Sahdev of Gully Boy fame in the titular role. Actress Shweta Basu Prasad has been paired opposite Nakul in the series.
