The trailer of Anurag Kashyap’s thriller titled Choked on Netflix is out.

MUMBAI: Netflix has unveiled the trailer for Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming drama Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai, making it the fourth collaboration between the streaming giant and Kashyap.

The cast of the original movie boasts Saiyami Kher (Mirzya) and Roshan Matthew (Moothon) in the lead. It also includes Amruta Subhash (Sacred Games), Rajshri Deshpande, Tushar Dalvi, and Upendra Limaye amongst others.

The story of Choked revolves around Sarita Pillai (Kher), a 30-year-old middle-class banker, trying to run the daily expenses of her household while her husband Sushant Pillai (Matthew) continues to pursue his dream of becoming a musician.

The trailer also showcases how Sarita’s life changes once she starts finding cash in her sink pipe. Things take a turn for the worse when demonetisation is announced in the country and most of her cash notes become invalid.

As per Netflix’s official descriptions, Sarita’s character is as follows: Employed as a bank cashier that fetches Sarita a petty sum, she is stuck in the household mess of providing for her family and can only dream of the luxuries that she wants. She has stopped caring about her appearance and her ambitions. Her life finds a new direction when she discovers a continuous stash of money in her house under her sink. But will her life’s problems end while unclogging her sink, or is this just the beginning of a whole new drama?

Likewise, her husband and struggling musician Sushant’s journey is described as follows: With dreams to conquer the world, he moves to the city. But life has other plans as his music career does not take-off, which affects his marriage. He grows suspicious of his wife when she seems to suddenly switch gears for the better.

Kashyap has previously created Sacred Games (seasons one and two), and one short film for Lust Stories and its sequel Ghost Stories.

Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai is all set to premiere on June 5.
