Sanjay Leela Bhansali had announced his upcoming project with Netflix tilled  Heeramandi, on the occasion of completing 25 years in the industry.

The show is said to explore stories of courtesans and the hidden cultural reality of Heeramandi, Lahore during pre-independence India.

The cast of 'Heera Mandi' will feature actors like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditi Rao Hydari. A few other senior actresses will also be making guest appearances in this web series

The director will be collaborating with Madhuri Dixit after Devdas and she too will be having a pivotal role in the series.

Alia Bhatt, Fardeen Khan too will be in the series.

This would be Sanjay Leela Bhansali's first directorial on the OTT platform.

Earlier the series was offered to Priyanka Chopra to play the lead but she declined the offer stating date issues.

As per sources, Ajay Devgn has been roped in for the series.

No much is know about his character but he would be have a pivotal role.

This would be third collaboration of the actor with SLB as previously he has worked with the director in movies like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Well, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known to make big budget movies with a huge star cast and this is one of his anticipated web series.
