MUMBAI: Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam led romantic-comedy Ginny Weds Sunny is set to premiere on Netflix on October 9. Viewers are also invited to the wedding with an e-vite asking them to join Ginny and Sunny on their big day.
The official description of the “Wedding Headache of the Year” reads as follows: Planning a wedding can be stressful in itself, but the process of finding ‘the one’ is a whole another ordeal! A few terrible pickup lines, sassy remarks, and love realised, resulting in THE wedding of the year (or is it?).
Living with her matchmaker mother in Delhi, Ginny is set up with Sunny, who has given up on the idea of love and just wants to get married and settle down. But, the match is not that simple. As Ginny meets Sunny, there’s a lot more that comes to the fore than previously imagined in this tale of love, life, weddings, and music.
The movie also stars Ayesha Raza, Suhail Nayyar (Hasmukh), Isha Talwar, Rajeev Gupta, Menka Kurup, Mazel Vyas, and Gurpreet Saini.

While Massey is well-known in the digital entertainment circuit with hits like Mirzapur and Criminal Justice, Ginny Weds Sunny marks Gautam’s first release in the OTT world. The actress is also set to play a play school teacher in the upcoming film A Thursday.
Audiences have also been given a glimpse of the movie’s first song titled “LOL Song”:
