Gullak season 4 REVIEW: Mishra family is back with entertaining chaos but the first 2 seasons were sweeter

While the vibe of Mishra family is same and oddly comforting, the new issue with their own twists and turns, and that too with such simplicity in its execution, is something definitely to watch out for.

MUMBAI: There is a lot of content offered on the OTT platforms which are based on the life of a middle class man or family and SonyLIV series Gullak is one of those series. This time, the makers are back with season 4 and we will get to watch Mishra family dealing with some more middle class family issues just the way they do in every season but what draws the attention is they unique solutions and the relatability factor.

Yes, the audience was waiting for Gullak season 4 and while the show tries to bring the same feel-good factor, it seems that this time they have almost reached the mark as the previous 2 seasons were more successful in this case.

The Mishra family is back and so are their problems which is all oddly entertaining to watch. The new season surely comes with new twists and turns with simplicity and subtleness in execution. One of the most interesting twists in the series is brought by the character Helly Shah who is a new member of the cast this season.

As the first episode begins, Jameel Khan as the head of the family grabs our attention instantly with his acting but wait till you get to see Vaibhav Raj Gupta, the elder son, falling in love, and Harsh Mayar, playing the younger son, doing all that he can to arrange some money. Meanwhile, Geetanjali Kulkarni plays the perfect and relatable mother’s character and keeps the show entertaining enough.

The credit doesn’t just go to the actors as the director Shreyansh Panday and writer Vidit Tripathi has also tried to give their best in this season and well, they’ve almost succeeded to keep us glued to the screens.

All-in-all, the show is entertaining but the spark from previous seasons have been missing this time and it could’ve been more entertaining.
