MUMBAI: Actor Harsh Chhaya, who is part of the web series Gyaarah Gyaarah, says it is always helpful to have someone to guide you. The actor mentions that there have been many actors whom he looks up to and learns from.
“There have been no formal teachers as such but some actors that have left an impression such as Kamal Haasan, Amol Palekar, Smita Patil to name a few. Having a couple of friend-philosophers have also helped me. Having a guide would be of great help especially when people like me from the working class come here, it takes a good decade to really start figuring out things,” he says.
He adds that this industry can be quite tough on you, but people around him have helped him out, says the actor. “My learning from the industry is simple- you are on your own. But I was fortunate to have a family where relatives and family friends stand by each other so it never felt like struggle while looking for work. I always had a warm welcoming home to go back to,” he says.
