MUMBAI: Varun Sood, set to play Ahaan Kothari in the upcoming streaming show 'Karmma Calling,' reveals that he identifies with his character, recognizing shared traits and characteristics. The show, based on the US original series 'Revenge,' is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on January 26.

In 'Karmma Calling,' Varun Sood's character, Ahaan Kothari, is the prodigal son of Indrani Kothari, portrayed by Raveena Tandon. Opening up about the parallels between Ahaan and himself, Varun shares, "When I read about Ahaan and I got into the details of Ahaan's dating life after reading the script, I realised that there might be a few similarities between him and me as personalities."

Varun highlights Ahaan's understanding of nature, his tendency to believe in people easily, and the conviction that everyone is inherently good. The actor acknowledges being a victim of similar traits in his own life, drawing a connection between his real-life personality and that of Ahaan in the show.

Expressing his perspective, Varun mentions, "I have been a victim of that but I think I would like to believe that I am like Ahaan in real life. I mean everybody has different perspectives about different people but yes I would kind of believe that there are similarities between Ahaan and me when it comes to how we love in our real life."

'Karmma Calling,' produced by R.A.T Films, adapted for the Indian audience, and directed by Ruchi Narain, promises to bring a gripping narrative to the streaming platform, exploring themes of love, redemption, and the complexities of relationships.
