MUMBAI: The wait is finally over as Amazon Prime Video’s psychological thriller series Homecoming, based on a podcast of the same name by Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg, finally released its second season on Friday, May 22. The newest cast member in the series features the celebrated Chris Cooper whose much-awaited presence was the biggest highlight for many. Playing the character who haunted season 1, the Oscar-winning actor discussed how he prepared for the role of Leonard Geist and why it wasn’t that hard to get into the skin of the character.
Cooper reveals that he shares many similarities with his on-screen character. “Since I was in the military, I certainly was familiar with that side of the world. I am quite a great gardener, myself, so, it just kind of, it felt natural. It felt pretty good to just fall into this character. I am, and I can certainly be a grouch.” He later goes on to talk about why the role felt like a perfect fit. Cooper adds, “Sometimes, the characters come along that just seem to fit like a glove and you don't have to knock yourself out doing the research and trying to dream up some kind of character. So, I'm just, I'm having a little faith in myself.”
