Jeet Ki Zid review: An inspiring and emotional story of a soldier

ZEE5’s Jeet Ki Zid has finally premiered, and here is the full review of the series.

MUMBAI: ZEE5’s much-awaited show of 2021, Jeet Ki Zid has finally premiered. The show speaks about the inside story of an army man is based on a real-life story. It created a lot of excitement among the audience ever since the trailer was out. Jeet Ki Zidd stars some amazing talent like Amit Sadh, Sushant Singh, Amrita Puri, Gagan Randhawa, and Mrinal Kulkarni. The series is directed by Vishal Mangalorka.

The story speaks about an army man, Major Deep Singh, who is fearless and loves to take challenges to prove his potential. He never gives up without trying. After a tragedy, how Major Deep Singh tries to fight the odds and rise above his problems is something the show deals with. It is his "zid" to get back on the field after what happened to him.

The screenplay of the series deviates many times. It is strictly average. The direction is decent, and the locations are shot nicely. It’s a visual treat to watch a few scenes.

The background music deserves a special mention as it manages to hold your attention and enhance your viewing experience.

Talking about the performances, then let us underline that this is an out-and-out Amit Sadh show. The actor shines as Major Deep Singh in the series, and we this is one of his best work. On the other hand, Sushant Singh as Col. Ranjeet Chaudhary is also good as a strict special force instructor. Amrita Puri as Deep's wife is decent, and BB14 fame Aly Goni also manages to grab your attention as Deep's best friend. Gagan Randhawa and Mrinal Kulkarni do justice to their parts.

The positive point is actor Amit Sadh. The actor has defined versatility here, and it was treat to watch him in this role. The solid story, which deals with an army man and his life beyond the battlefield is something interesting to see and surely grabs your attention. The emotional angle has been captured beautifully, and the BGM enhances your viewing experience.

The series has a few negative points too. A solid drawback is the screenplay, as the series moves from the flashback to the present and vice versa continuously. Viewers may get confused by the timeline of the story. Moreover, a few war and gunfire scenes were not looking appealing due to poor VFX, which can decrease your overall interest.

Well, in spite of all these minor points, the series manages to win your hearts and is worth your time.

Team TellyChakkar goes with 3.5 stars for Jeet Ki Zid.
