MUMBAI: This is the age of internet television, and web series are as popular as mainstream TV shows. Ullu App is a popular on-demand video streaming platform, owned and maintained by Vibhu Agarwal of Jaypeeco Infotainments Pvt Ltd.
Ullu may be infamously known for the sex scenes and bold content but many have focused on the actual themes of the show as opposed to the scenes.
It is now launching a web-series titled Paper. Sanjivani actor Rohit Roy will play the lead role. The makers have also roped in Kate Sharma and Ganesh Yadav.
Reports state, 'The web-series will showcase the journey of Abdul (played by Rohit Roy), who attained notoriety as the kingpin of a multicrore counterfeit stamp paper scam. While Kate will be seen playing lady love to Abdul, Ganesh will be seen playing the role of a cop.'
Kate plays the role of Rosy, who ends up becoming a prostitute. She wants to get out of this profession and to start a new life.
The actress has done shows like Paramavtaar Shri Krishna and Meri Durga.
Ganesh has featured in films such as Phoonk 2, Bajirao Mastani, and Singham Returns.
Paper is produced by Vibhu Agarwal and directed by Deepak Pandey.
