MUMBAI: Naveen Kasturia is one of the biggest names in OTT. He has impressed one and all with his performances in web series like Pitchers, Aspirants, Breathe: Into the Shadows 2, and many more.

He revealed, “There are a few characters which I was scared of playing before. For a few characters I got time to prepare so while doing the prep I started enjoying it like Victor from Breathe. But, when there’s no time for preparation, then it becomes difficult.”

The actor further revealed that playing the role of Naveen Bansal in season 2 of Pitchers was difficult for him. He said, “Naveen Bansal of Pitchers season 2 was difficult for me to do because I think he is a character who is always pretending and with people who can be himself with them also he is reserved. So, while doing the character I was like am I communicating what this character is trying to say because he is not saying anything that he is feeling at any point. I have done that in the whole show; in every scene, I used to feel I cannot show vulnerability. I feel when I can express what’s going inside me, I enjoy those parts; I feel that easy.”

“In Pitchers season 2, there are very few moments where I get out what’s going inside me, so I am just reserved throughout. So, I felt it was difficult to portray Naveen Bansal in season 2. In the first season, he is like Lord Ram, and in season 2 I wanted something different to happen. Now also, if I talk to some people I try to explain to them his psyche. People are watching it and they are giving me gaali,” he added.

Pitchers season 1 was released in 2015. After seven years, season 2 of the series premiered last year in December on Zee5.
