MUMBAI: They say a dream is a wish from your heart and there is pure happiness for those who see it come true. This stands certainly accurate for actress Nidhi Singh whose wish was to shoot in her hometown Allahabad for the longest time. Nidhi, who plays the role of Guddan in Disney+Hotstar’s latest web show PariWar, reveals that it was her dream to shoot in the beautiful city of Allahabad where she grew up.

Talking about her experience and her wish coming true Nidhi said “While we shot major scenes in Lucknow, we travelled to Allahabad to shoot a few scenes and honestly that was an out of body experience for me. I was 17 when I moved to Mumbai from Allahabad after completing my schooling. And although I’ve spent equal amount of years here in Mumbai, Allahabad is where I’ve built my foundation."

Expressing the nostalgic feeling the actress further said, “It’s like going back to your nani’s house, it brought back the emotions of being home as we shot in locations that I’ve seen in my childhood. As an actor I always had this on my wish list to shoot in my hometown and finally that got ticked off with PariWar.”

PariWar the 6-part series features an ensemble cast of the immensely talented Gajraj Rao, Ranvir Shorey, Nidhi Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Yashpal Sharma and Vijay Razz in pivotal roles. The show is set against the backdrop of Allahabad and follows the life of Kashiram Narayan, a 68-year-old patron and his estranged family who is squabbling for their ancestral land which takes a rather dramatic turn.
